This week we started learning sight words and made our own sight word cards. We also practiced using them in a sentence. Please practice the following words with your child: I, a, to, is, on, can, the, see, in.

Valentine's Day
As we have been focusing on the character trait ‘love’ this month, on Wednesday, February 12 we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day by showing our friends in our class love and appreciation. If you wish to send in Valentine’s cards for your child to share, please ensure there are enough for every student to receive one and address them “Dear Friend” instead of individual names.
Our class numbers are:
AM TLC Kindergarten – 16
PM TLC Kindergarten – 15
Dentist Consent Forms
Alberta Health Services Fluoride Varnish Dental Consent Forms will be sent home this week. Please return these forms by February 18. Treatments will be on February 19-20.
Fabric/Ribbon Donations Date Extension
Thank you so much to all the families that have sent in fabric so far. We will continue collecting fabric and ribbon for our personal story project over the next two weeks. Please return the form about cultural or family traditions and fabric/ribbon by February 18.

- Shapes around you (squares, rectangles, circles)
- Vertices (Corners) and Sides
- Sight Words (I, a, is, to, the, can, on, see, in)
Home reading is due back on Wednesday this week.
