Field Trip
Engineering for Kids
Thank you for all those who have returned the forms and money for the Engineering for Kids Program.  Due to some changes, the school will now be paying for the program, so parents no longer need to send $18.  If you have already sent in the money, it will be returned in full in your child’s folder.
If you have not yet sent your forms in, please do so ASAP! Thank you!
Sorry for the inconvenience, and please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions. Thank you!

Scientist in Classroom - Winter Wonders
We are very lucky to have a second in-class field trip. The cost of this field trip is being covered by parent council. Please make sure that your child's form is returned in order for your child to participate.

Peacefulness
To wrap up our learning about Peacefulness, students made cards for the Canadian Armed Forces. We are so excited to share these cards with them. Peace is showing kindness to others. Peace is offering a hug to someone.

Math
We learned to represent numbers in 6 different ways. This week we learned the number 3 and 4. Ask your child to show you all the different ways to represent the number.

Literacy
We are continuing with our Grapheme program and we are currently on the letter J. Please review and practice at home with your child. Make sure to review all the different sounds, leaving finger spaces between each letter and starting from the top and going to the bottom when printing.

Things to practice at home:
  1. Name (First letter is upper case and the rest is lower case)
  2. Letter A-J and the sounds they makes.
  3. Number 3 and 4 and the different ways to represent it.
Home reading is due back on Thursday if you would like to exchange your books.

Have a great weekend!

Love,

Ms. Dang
