Hello Families and Friends,
This week was Safety Week. It went very smoothly We did a lockdown, fire drill and an evacuation walk. Students were serious, safe and silent. Ask your child how it all went and why we need to practice them. We also met new friends during our walk. The AM class walked with the grade 4 students and the PM class walked with grade 2 and grade 4 students.
Things to practice at home:

Science
This week we did a science experiment with the pumpkins and made predictions on whether pumpkins would float or sink. After the predictions, we did the experiment and the result was..... ask your child what happened!
The Thankful Book
We talked about things that we are thankful for. We read the book by Todd Parr and students shared with each other things they are thankful for. A lot of us said family and friends. Here are some other things:
- Name (First letter is upper case and the rest is lower case)
- Letter A, B, C and the sound they make
- Making ABAB/AABB Patterns
