What a cold week it has been! Thank you for safely getting the children to school! Monday was our in-class field trip with Clay for Kids! They did an amaaazing job and we can wait to show you our final product. The clay hearts are currently inside a kiln (a really really hot oven) and we will get them back in about 2-3 weeks. Thank you for your patience!
Literacy
As a class, we made a rubric for our printing. We are starting to assess our own work on a target . For our writing activities in class, this is what we need to make sure we have in order to be on target!
Math
We learnt about rectangles last week. What kind of rectangle shaped objects are at home? How many sides does a rectangle have? How many vertices (corners) does a rectangle have? How long are the sides?

Valentine's Day Celebration * Check folder for note *
On Wednesday, February 13, students will be provided with time to pass out Valentine’s Day cards to their classmates. We ask that all students who wish to participate bring in enough cards for every student in the class. Students are welcome to sign their own name on the card, but please leave the receiver name blank. This allows students to hand out cards easily. Please note, bringing in Valentine’s Day cards is completely voluntary.
There are 25 students in the AM class and 23 students in the PM class.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let your child’s teacher know by emailing me.
We look forward to celebrating this event with your child.
*Please return ALL library books. We will be going to the library next week. Students who have booked signed out will not be able to take out new books.
*Please return report card envelopes. Thank you! :)
