Green and Red Choices

Hello Families and Friends, This week, we talked a lot about making red choices and green choices. "A choice that makes my teacher and parents happy is called a green choice." For example: Sitting quietly, participating, following directions, sharing, being kind. "A choice that makes my teacher and parents sad and disappointed is called a red choice." For example: hitting, throwing things, mean words, hurting others. Ask your child what some green choices are at school. Literacy This week we learned the letter B and C. What sound does the letter B make? What two sound does the letter C make? We also learned different words that start with those letters? Can you name some? Math We are learning about patterns. We are focussing on making ABAB patterns. Here are some of the patterns we made. Hello Families and Friends, This week we talked about your families. We talked about who is in our family and how many people there are. Students will get a chance to bring in a photo from home so stay tuned for a letter that will be sent home. Math We learned to represent numbers in 6 different ways. This week we learned the number 2. Things to practice at home: Name (First letter is upper case and the rest is lower case) Letter A-H and the sounds they makes. Number 2 and the different ways to represent it.
